Overview

The Aerless SFP-IT-18220021-MM is a 25G SFP28 eSR optical transceiver for multimode connections using duplex LC. Its 850 nm VCSEL transmitter and PIN receiver support links up to 200 m on OM3 or 300 m on OM4. The module has a specified case operating temperature of −40°C to +85°C.

This extended reach multimode option suits 25G Ethernet links where the installed fiber and distance match its specification. It also supports CPRI option 10 and eCPRI applications. Clock and data recovery is built into both the transmitter and receiver, with maximum power consumption of 1 W.

Choose multimode or single mode

Choose this eSR model for an OM3 or OM4 multimode link within the specified reach. For a single mode link up to 10 km, compare the Aerless 25G SFP28 LR, SFP-IT-18230022-SM. The two models use different fiber types and wavelengths and are not a matched optical pair.

Diagnostics and monitoring

Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) uses the SFF-8472 interface to report module temperature, supply voltage, laser bias current, and transmitted and received optical power. Alarm and warning flags help identify values outside the configured operating limits. The host must support reading these diagnostics.

Compatibility and qualification

Switch coding is available for the intended platform. Send the switch or router model, software version and port configuration so we can confirm the appropriate coding before you order. A matching SFP28 slot alone does not establish compatibility.

Confirm the host’s supported line rate, FEC configuration and the optic at the other end of the link. The published reach is indicative; fiber condition, patch panels and connector losses affect the complete optical link. Share any qualification or test report requirements with your enquiry so the required evidence can be confirmed for your order.

Warranty and returns

Aerless warranty is up to 3 years, depending on the product. Ask us to confirm the warranty duration and coverage for this part in your quotation.

Most new, unopened items are eligible for a full refund within 15 days of delivery. For a configuration or ordering mistake, credit requires unused, clean products and packaging in resale condition, within 15 days of invoice. A 25% restocking fee may apply; the customer pays freight for these returns. Contact TechFoundry before returning an item. Refunds can take up to four weeks after dispatching the return.
